woot! just got back!
The school. was. Awesome! It was a special effects school and the students made me very welcome. One of the students even gave me derma-wax.
First we saw a class studying human anatomy. Next we saw a hallway with different movie monsters displayed behind glass (with appropriate themes for each wall): one of the doors in this hall lead to the cafeteria which looked like metal room with walls coated in rust, there were 4 cases with frozen zombies in one wall. Then we saw a make up class who were making bullet wounds (well actually molds for bullet wounds, still in the process of shaping the clay). This is where a male student gave me the wax. After that we went downstairs to look at some students making masks, one of them had a very spiffy lycan mask. On the way out of this part of the building we passed a class who were pouring plaster into bullet wound molds, yes the same class from the beginning. And finally, before leaving the building there was a display of the monster from Steve King's "Creep Show: The Crate". This display is changed every so often.

overall, it's the school for me. Mom commented on how most of the students had black on or tatoos. It didn't bother me as much. Every student I saw was happy and loved what they did.

we just spent 7 hours in the car, and yes the hotel has internet!
i'm looking into a college by Pittsburgh so i wont be on till Friday.
